I'm Still Around!!

Hello, my friends!

It has been such a long time since I posted last! Aside from raising a family, I have been actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Needless, to say I have had to put crafting aside and concentrate on my studies, since graduation is rapidly approaching in December. This semester, I am student teaching and have a little bit more free time. I pulled out some Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps that I received in a design team package a long time ago.
It was so refreshing to be able to sit down and play with some paper and stamps for a little while. I used the Pumpkin Set 2 and the Pumpkin die set. I also used the sentiment from the Scary Cat and Bats clear stamp set. You can order these supplies at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Some PPRS 80's Fun!

I was born in the eighties. I was a mad fan of Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, and had a favorite color of hot pink. So now that neon colors seem to be the new trend in scrapbooking, my heart is full!

Hero Arts has released NEON ink pads in orange, yellow, and yes, my old love of hot pink. I had to get my hands on these and create a card that would make the 1980's proud! I used PPRS Tree Heart as well as Hibiscus 2 for my sentiment. Aren't these colors fun?

That's my share for today! I hope to create some more fun cards using these bright, bold colors! Thanks for stopping by!

It's Monday morning...

...and time for another Prickley Pear project share.

My card today features the Clearly Beautiful Dragonflies clear stamp set. I chose the sentiment, "You make me smile everyday", stamped it on PPRS Scalloped Circle Die and accented it with some Studio Calico wood veneer pieces.

My banner pieces were hand cut from Basic Grey patterned papers. I outlined the card and banners with a Zig pen.

PPRS Christmas in July

Yes, I know. Independence Day has not even been over with for a month yet, and yep, I'm already thinking Christmas. Since Arizonans tend to take on 110+ degree days in the summer, I yearn for cooler temps and lower electricity bills. This is what inspired me to bust out my Christmas Prickley Pear Stamps. While it may not make the weather cooler, it sure did take my mind off of the extreme temps for awhile!

For this card, I used a red rubber stamp, Evergreen with Star, as well as the sentiment from the Ornament Set 2 clear stamp set. The tree image was colored with Copics and the sentiment was stamped on a McGill file tab punchout. I used some Twinery twine in Maraschino and topped it off with a little bow embellie from Recollections.

That's my little share for today! Be sure to stop by the PPRS blog for some more amazing inspiration. Thanks so much for taking a peek!

PPRS Monday Project Share-Vintage Trains ATC

I am a person that super loves vintage anything. When Nicole sent me the Vintage Train ATC red rubber stamp from PPRS new release, I could not wait to give it some fresh ink. I wanted to incorporate travel-inspired papers in my card. However, I do not travel much. Therefore, my "travel" stash is nonexistent. However, the fact that we recently returned from our trip made me go to our local Big Lots and I found a stack of papers by a paper company called Momenta. We had bought the girls disposable cameras so that they were able to take photos on our trip. Therefore, I just had to buy these papers so that they can scrapbook their adventures. I found this to be the perfect time to snag some scraps and incorporate them into my own card.

I absolutely {heart} that image!! Aside from the Vintage Train ATC stamp, I also used the "Hello" sentiment found in the "Hibiscus 2" clear stamp set.

That's my share for today! I'm off to go put my blog post together to share the photos of our amazing trip and all of the gorgeous sights we saw! Have a splendid week!!

PPRS Monday Share and ROAD TRIP!!!

Hey all! As you read this, my family is headed on a road trip across the beautiful state of Arizona in order to see some of the natural wonders our state has to offer. Today, we are headed to Bearizona, a wildlife park where visitors can drive through and see many wild creatures in the comfort and safety of their own vehicles including elk, bears, bison, wolves, etc. Next, we are heading north up to the Grand Canyon. I have been there as a child, but my children have yet to experience it. We will also visit Four Corners, Meteor Crater, and the Petrified Forest. I will definitely have to share photos!!!

Today I have a cute card to share featuring stamps from PPRS newest release, Flower Cluster and Best Mom. I used Prima's Nature's Garden as my patterned papers of choice.

That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic week!!!

PPRS Project Shares

Hey everyone! It's been some time since I have been able to post. For some reason, Blogger just inadvertently stopped working on my computer. I would type up my post and it refused to save it. I would type up the post on the day that I wanted to post it and it would refuse to publish it. I have cleared my cookies, rebooted my computer, and finally became so frustrated, I asked my handy dandy boyfriend for help. And voila, it is finally working! So super excited!!!

So, now that I have Blogger up and running again, I want to share a couple of projects with you since I haven't been able to share them for the past few weeks.

First up is this vintage-inspired card using Sewing Ad and a newly released red rubber stamp called 5 Vintage Ladies. I thought these two images paired really well together. Do you see that metal flower? I made that flower using Pepsi cans and a small silver bead for the center. Came out pretty cute, huh? The papers used were from Tim Holtz' Crowded Attic paper pad.

Next up is a tag I made using mixed media. Do you know that stuff they sell in the craft store called Snow-Tex? It's used to make realistic looking snow on craft projects. Well, I pulled my jar out and decided I wanted to add some texture to my project. I used some of the Snow-Tex mixed with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical Micas in order to color it. It was really fun and looks really neat, as well!

To give it some even more texture, I sprayed over the Snow-Tex with some Goosebumps Texture Spray. LOVE the result! This tag features stamps from the Hibiscus 2 stamp set (which I clearly can not get enough of) and the Sunflowers and Mini Hibiscus.

Well, that's it for today. For some more PPRS inspiration, please be sure to stop by the PPRS blog to see the other gorgeous creations that have been created to share with you. Thanks so much for stopping by!
