Prickley Pear Monday Share!

Hello everyone!

I am super excited to share with you my card today. It was made for a special friend who is having a tough time with his marriage and I wanted to find a way to cheer him up a little and to know that he has people out there thinking of him when it seems his whole world has come crashing down.

So, that led me to come to the realization that I have to make a MASCULINE card. Ugh, the dreaded word. Like so many of you, I have a tough time making cards for males. Slim to no embellishments, earthy colors, NO FLOWERS! What's a girl to do?!

I settled on some old DCWV Green Stack papers as well as a Studio Calico wood veneer star embellishment.  I used the PPRS Find What You Seek red rubber stamp.Super quick, super simple, and best of all, super masculine!

Not too shabby, right? I also have another project I'm working on that I hope to post later this week. I don't want to spill the beans on what it is, so you will just have to stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Hugs,
A

Prickley Pear Monday and Sketch Challenge Reminder!

Howdy! Today, I have a couple of fun cards to show you. The first is using the Ride with Me red rubber stamp as well as The Mind Determines red rubber.

That image is super adorable and the sentiment is one of my favorites. Both of these stamps can be found in the "New Stamps" section of the PPRS store.

Also, the January Sketch Challenge is still on! Here is this month's fabulous sketch:

And here is my take:

Remember, you have until the 31st to get your card linked up over at the PPRS blog. PPRS products are not required to play along and the winner, chosen at random, gets a $15 gift certificate to the web shop.

Happy Stamping!!

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Design Team Monday!

Good morning! My winter break is finally over and school starts today. This is my last semester before I earn my Associate's Degree and I am super excited to get this done! I was also excited to learn that I made President's Honors last semester and am quite proud of the goals I have set and accomplished in order to better our lives. :)

I also want to thank each and every one of you who reads my blog. Your comments and visits brighten my day and make me excited to share my projects with you.

Today, my PPRS project features a red rubber stamp called Tiger. It is super adorable paired with this Imaginisce patterned paper. I opted to not use a sentiment so that I can use this card for any purpose. I need more cards like this in my stash.

I kept it fairly simple, but I really do love how it came out.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Blog hop lineup for today is:

Amy - you are here!

I am super excited about this release, as there are many adorable Valentine's images just awaiting some fresh ink. Look how super cute this cupid is!

For this card, I used Cupid and 100 Hearts.

Mr. Cupid is colored in with Copics and his wings are accented with some Diamond Stickles, giving them an adorable glittery effect! I used a Valentine's line of K. and Company papers to give my card some extra holiday flair!

Now the question is, what do YOU think of the new stamps? Leave a comment for a chance to win!

Coming up tomorrow, there will be FIVE new design team blogs participating in the hop. Don't forget to stop by the Prickley Pear blog starting at 9 AM EST for the new blog hop list.

If this happens to be your last stop, thank you so much for participating in our release party! If you didn't start from the beginning, just continue the hop by going over to the Prickley Pear blog.

Toodles,

PPRS Love is in the Air

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and fantastic new year! Due to the holidays, I have taken a short break in order to get things prepared for my family to have a wonderful Christmas and am now back to share some more Prickley Pear inspiration with you on this Design Team Monday.

Today, my project features two red rubber stamps found in the PPRS store; Love is in the Air and Girl with Basket. I super love this little vintage girl with her basket of flowers. Amazingly adorable!

The card was inspired by the Card Patterns sketch challenge and I had a ton of fun playing with these beautiful papers by Colorbok.

Thanks for stopping by! From my house to yours, may you and yours be happy and prosperous in the New Year.

Hugs,
-A
